Meditation for Anger
Frustrated? Angry? Something didn’t go your way? Just plain full of rage?
Anger is usually a secondary emotion. It does an excellent job at covering up a more deeply rooted emotion like abandonment, fear, security, betrayal, etc.
Try this exercise to process through your emotions.
Close your eyes.
Feel the source of your anger.
Pretend it’s a ball of energy in your hand.
Focus your negative emotions into the energy in your palm.
Relax your face.
Soften your body.
When all the negativity energy has left your body, draw your hand with the energy ball to your mouth.
Blow on the energy like you would a dandelion.
Watch your anger and fear dissipate into neutral energy fueling the Earth.
Focus on how you feel.
Is your body lighter?
Is your mind clearer?
